TENDER NOTICE

 

 

            Commissionerate of Customs (Import), Air Cargo Complex, Sahar, Mumbai has a Local Area Network (LAN) of more than 200 PCs installed at various places and EPBAX system with 100 connections.  To ensure uninterrupted connectivity to all the PCs in the LAN and Intercom phones, it is desirable that an agency maintains the network on a regular basis.

 

2.       Therefore, sealed quotations are invited from interested parties for work relating to maintenance of LAN cables and voice cable at Sahar, Air Cargo Complex, Mumbai.  The required work of maintenance will be comprehensive and may cover following areas of work services :

 

(i)       To maintain the cables and repair the cable faults of LAN cable and voice cable installed at the various Customs Offices of ACC.

(ii)      Repairing and replacement of damaged cable(s) &/or other accessories

(iii)     Laying of cables and terminations of the same.

 

3.       One technician/Engineer should be available on call on all the working days to attend call within 4 hours after the call is logged.

 

4.       Downtime will be 4 hours for calls received during working timings.

 

5.       The price quoted shall be inclusive of supply of cables, repairing of damaged cables/ connectors/ information outlets and other related hardware, labour charges for  such work &/or re-laying of cable and other networking components.  The brand name of the product to be utilized should also be specified.  The total cost of such repair work or replacement of cable should be for one year period, which should also be inclusive of all taxes and levies.

 

6.       Interested parties should provide details of work experience of the company, existing client list, organisational strength/background & general profile of the organisation.

 

7.       Bills for payments may be submitted on quarterly basis.  It is further informed that penalty for downtime, if any, shall be calculated on per day basis by dividing the quarterly payment with number of working days in a quarter.  Downtime of over half day shall be considered as one day for this purpose.

 

8.       Log book entries should be made after every service & there shall be atleast one checkup/inspection per week at the location by the authorised technical staff/engineer of the party.

 

9.       The sealed envelopes should be addressed to the Commissioner of Customs (Imports), Air Cargo Complex, Sahar, Andheri (East), Mumbai-400 099 and should be superscripted as “Quotation for AMC of LAN cables and voice cable network”.

 

10.     The sealed quotation may be submitted up to  17.00 hrs of  24th October, 2008. The quotation received after the due date and time shall not be considered.

 

11.     Interested parties may visit this office for actual nature and extent of work between 11.30 am & 4.00 pm on all the working days and may contact the undersigned or Supdt./EDI for further information.  The contact number of undersigned and Superintendent EDI is as under :

12.     Preventive checkup should be done once in 3 months and report should be submitted to Systems Manager.

 

13.     Co-ordination meeting should be attended whenever called by AC/EDI.

 

14.     The Commissioner of Customs (Imports) reserves the rights to reject any or all the quotations without giving reasons thereof.
